Performance, versatility and design – Bona Craft Oil 2K can be used on its own as a quick drying,high-performance oil or be combined with a lacquer for different gloss levels and a practicallymaintenance free surface. The unique formula is made from modified plant-based oil anddelivers a tough, water and stain resistant protection to floors in residential or medium wearcommercial environments. Bona Craft Oil 2K is compatible with most wood species, evenchallenging ones such as cherry, walnut, smoked oak and steamed beech. Product Details:

Bona Decking Oil is a concentrated blend of vegetable oils, modified for superior

impregnation and long-lasting protection of wooden decking and other exterior wood

surfaces. It enhances the natural wood grain while protecting against moisture ingress

and reducing the potential of wood cracking and warping.

Storage/transport: The temperature must not fall below +5°C or exceed +25°C

during storage and transport.

Disposal: Wastes and emptied containers should be handled in

accordance with local regulations

SURFACE PREPARATION

The surface which is to be treated must consist of bare wood and be dry. Moisture

content of the wood should not exceed 18% RH. Oiled, waxed and/or decayed wood

should be thoroughly cleaned with Bona Deep Clean System or Bona Decking Reviver

prior to applying new oil.

New installed wood decking must not be treated immediately after installation but must

first be exposed to several weeks of weathering. This makes the wood porous and

absorbent for the Bona Decking Oil.

Optimal application conditions are between 18-25C. High temperatures and low

humidity shortens the drying time, low temperatures and high humidity prolong the

 

drying time. Minimum temperature for use is 13C.

APPLICTION

Stir the can well.

1. Apply 1-2 coats of the oil evenly and thinly using a wide brush or other

suitable applicator.

2. When the decking is saturated, wipe off all surplus oil with a cotton cloth.

3. Allow at least 24 hours drying time before taking the decking into use. Avoid

foot traffic during this time. If it rains on the decking before the oil has

hardened, it may be necessary to re-apply a thin layer of oil.
